The Peace that Passes All Understanding. ACIM Lesson #348.

I have no cause for anger or for fear, For You surround me. And in every need That I perceive, Your grace suffices me.

I have a confession to make. I am an angry driver.

I get perturbed when people drive slow in the fast lane. I can’t stand it when someone is riding my tail. I even get annoyed sometimes at geese crossings, instead of enjoying their majesty.

Angry. Driver.

In college I had a curse jar, just for my CAR. I’m surprised it didn’t cover my tuition entirely.

But all of that anger & fear-it’s just more separation in action. It’s the ‘Me against them mentality. Rather than the truth that we share this reality in Divinity.

No matter how many times I might curse in my car-I am surrounded by the perfect safety of my one-ness. When I can remember to step aside & really look.

And here’s a little tip that helps me. A version of the Buddhist Lovingkindness meditation I say in particularly crunchy moments:

May you be safe. May you be well. May you live at ease.

Because we all, truly are. Any time. At any place. Even in our crunchiest moments. Even in traffic.

May these words reach you and bring you the ultimate peace which passes all understanding dear friends.
