ACIM Rewind: Every Day I'm Stuffin' It!....ACIM Lesson 30

Updated: Jan 31, 2023

God is in everything I see because God is in my mind. [W-p1.30.1.1]

Whoa. Mind blown!

Lesson 30 can either feel like a revelation. Or a confusing mind game. Depending on where I am today.

God is in my mind. Is THAT where the Divine really lives?

I’ll use an example.

Whenever I go camping in the woods I sleep in a sleeping bag. It is cushy. It is warm. It is comfortable. After said trip I sleepily roll up my sleeping bag and attempt to stuff it back into its carrier bag.

It. Never. Fits.

I squeeze. I put my body weight into it. Sometimes I even curse the very bag I was heavenly enjoying just hours before. And I can never figure out how I originally got this sleeping bag into its container.

Our thoughts are very much like this experience with my sleeping bag. I try to fit them into my mind. To squeeze them into everything I know. I think they should fit with what I know of the world. Rather than accepting they exist beyond space and time. I even try to fit them into what I have already seen of the world (aka the sleeping bag container). In lieu of allowing them to stretch and expand according to what actually is.

Lesson 30 says our vision is not limited to this small truth. That, in our Divinity, our minds eye can actually see more than what is immediately apparent. That real vision doesn’t depend on our eyes at all. But on the infinite capacity for love that exists within us all.

So today Lesson 30 invites us to stop trying to make our limitless mind fit into the small sleeping bag container of what our eyes can see. To allow for the possibility that when we see with Divine eyes all things are made new. Limitless. Beyond the known of separateness and limitation.

And to enjoy the greatness of what we were born to live instead.
